About
Spencer Marley is an unusual combination: a mathematician, a chartered accountant, a CFA charterholder, and an AI leader. That breadth — quantitative rigour, financial discipline, and deep technical capability — is what allows him to operate credibly from the boardroom to the data pipeline.
At Amazon Web Services, Spencer served as Head of AI/ML across Asia Pacific and Japan, where he built and led the go-to-market strategy for AWS machine learning services across the public sector. Under his leadership, the team delivered 100%+ year-on-year revenue growth. He landed the region's first AI/ML deal in pathology imaging, ran workshops for 700+ attendees, and represented AWS at re:Invent and AWS Summit Singapore.
Before AWS, Spencer spent a decade at KPMG across London and Singapore in management consulting, working with financial services, automotive, and telecommunications clients on financial modelling and analytics. He also served as an Analyst at Livingbridge, a UK private equity firm, where he managed a fund of funds with GBP 100M+ AUM.
Today, Spencer runs The Logic Layer, an independent consulting practice advising fintech, banking, LegalTech, and insurtech clients across Asia on AI strategy, cloud architecture, and commercial execution.
